Alexander, Petrovansky take Australia Day honours

Queensland's Zoe Petrovansky won her first title on the women's professional squash tour when she took out the Australia Day Challenge in Brisbane on Sunday, beating Sarah Cardwell in the final.
The 20-year-old Petrovansky beat Cardwell, 18, 11-3, 11-13, 11-7, 11-13, 11-7 in a classic final.
The two players are seen as the future of Australian squash, with Petrovansky the reigning Australia junior champion and Cardwell the under 17 title holder.
Cardwell is the daughter of multiple British Open winner Vicki Cardwell.
In the men's final, Brisbane's Zac Alexander won his fourth title but his first on Australian soil when he beat top seed Mike Corren in four games 11-8, 6-11, 12-10, 11-1.
Alexander, 20, had previously won three times in Malaysia.
