Top seed ends Palmer's journey

- Squash Australia

Australia's David Palmer has fallen to top seeded Egyptian Karim Darwish in the quarter-finals of the Tournament of Champions in New York.
Palmer came out firing and took the first game but couldn't keep the momentum going throughout the remainder of the match.
Darwish ended up winning the quarter-final in four games 5-11, 11-4, 11-9, 11-8.
"I think my tactics were perfect, especially in the first game, but that I was not physically strong enough and at the time I needed to, I wasn't able to push hard enough," Palmer said.
Darwish will now play Englishman James Willstrop in the semi-finals, with the second semi also an Egyptian-English clash between Ramy Ashour and Nick Matthew.
