Tasmania's Lindsay wins on final day of NJS

Tasmania’s Kate Lindsay is celebrating after claiming the Girls 15 Years title at the National Junior Series Vicki Cardwell Classic in Adelaide on Sunday, the only unseeded player to win a title.
Lindsay beat third seed Jasmin Burnard of South Australia 11-5, 11-6, 11-7, a day after knocking out top seed Eloise O’Connor of Western Australia.
The other notable upset came in the Boys 13 Years where sixth seed Jesse Keegan of New South Wales upset top seeded Kiwi Alex Revington 11-8, 8-11, 5-11, 11-8, 11-4.
The Boys 19 Years title was won by Jake Alexander, who beat fellow Queenslander Jamie McErvale 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-5 for the second week in a row, while Sarah Cardwell of Victoria turned the tables on NSW’s Tamika Saxby to claim the Girls 19 Years title 11-5, 6-11, 11-8, 11-4.
Other winners included WA’s Luke Bunting in the Boys 17 Years, Rhys Dowling of Darwin in the Boys 15 Years, and Queensland pair Bethany Brazier in the Girls 15 Years and Lakeesha Rarere in the Girls 13 Years.
