Brilliant Boswell wins Berkshire title

- Squash Australia

Australia’s Stewart Boswell claimed the 13th Professional Squash Association title of his career when he upset top seeded Englishman Alister Walker in four games in the final of the Berkshire Open in Williamston, Massachusetts on Sunday.
The 31-year-old Boswell, originally from Canberra but now based in Manchester, played some breathtaking squash to wear down the higher-ranked Walker 12-10, 2-11, 11-7, 11-4.

Walker is ranked 11 in the world to Boswell’s 18 and beat the Australian comfortably the last time they met on the PSA tour.
However, the Australian number three has been in great touch in this tournament, reaching the final without dropping a game.
After Boswell edged the first game in a tiebreaker, Walker came storming back to completely dominate the second.
But Walker seemed to tire under the relentless pressure of Boswell, who gradually took control and overwhelmed his English opponent in the fourth to wrap up the match in a shade over an hour.

The title was Boswell’s 13th overall and his first since he won his fourth Australian Open last July.

Final result (prefix denotes seeding):

2-Stewart Boswell (AUS) bt 1-Alister Walker (ENG) 12-10, 2-11, 11-7, 11-4
