David maintains Grinham dominance

- Squash Australia

Malaysia’s squash world number one Nicol David maintained her dominance over Australian rival Rachael Grinham after a comprehensive semi-final win at the Cayman Islands Open on Grand Cayman on Friday.
David set up a final against world number two Jenny Duncalf of England following her 11-5, 11-7, 11-9 win over the Australian – her 23rd win over Grinham in 29 meetings.
Grinham was never in the hunt against David as she fell behind quickly in the first two games and although she led 9-7 in the third, the Malaysian lifted a gear to claim the next four points and the match.
Grinham’s loss continued a disappointing day for Australians in semi-final action around the world, following as it did Zoe Petrovansky’s loss in Kuala Lumpur and Cameron Pilley’s in Kolkata.
