Brown and Urquhart consolidate positions

New South Welsh pair Kasey Brown (pictured) and Donna Urquhart have consolidated their positions in the world’s elite in the latest rankings issued by the Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA).
Brown, 24, and Urquhart, 23, rose one spot each to be ranked nine and 19 respectively.
Queensland’s Rachael Grinham also climbed one place to be ranked at four in the world, behind Malaysia’s Nicol David, Englishwoman Jenny Duncalf and Natalie Grinham of the Netherlands.
North Queensland’s Lisa Camilleri was the next best Australian, slipping one place to 40.
Brisbane’s Zoe Petrovansky, who made the semi-finals of the NSC Classic in Malaysia during April, jumped four places to a career-best 64.
In the men’s rankings former number one David Palmer showed his incredible durability, making it 118 consecutive months in the top 10 by remaining in 10th spot.
Yamba’s Cameron Pilley was at 16 with Canberra’s Stewart Boswell a sport further back.
Egyptian Ramy Ashour remained world number one just ahead of England’s Nick Matthew and Egyptian pair Amr Shabana and Karim Darwish.
Brisbane’s Zac Alexander emulated Petrovansky’s leap up the rankings, rising nine places to a best ever 78.
