Fellow New South Welshmen Scott Arnold and Ryan Cuskelly will meet in the final qualifiying round of the Montreal International after recording first round wins on Monday.
Arnold beat Pakistan's Adil Maqbool 11-9, 11-7, 8-11, 11-9 while the in-form Cuskelly downed young Canadian Maxime Blouin 11-4, 11-8, 11-6.
