Sydney’s Scott Arnold caused a massive upset when he downed Egyptian sixth seed Hisham Ashour in the first round of the Montreal International in Canada.
Arnold, who had to win through qualifying to make the main draw, came from 2/1 down to beat the Egyptian in five tough games 11-9, 4-11, 10-12, 11-9, 16-14.
He will now take on second seeded Englishman Adrian Grant in the quarter-finals.
