Brown and Urquhart so close to upset

Kasey Brown (pictured) and Donna Urquhart underlined their Commonwealth Games medal credentials when they were just pipped in the final of the women’s doubles at the Chennai Open Doubles squash tournament in Chennai on Thursday.
Brown and Urquhart pushed top seeds Jenny Duncalf of England and Australian Rachael Grinham for almost an hour before falling 8-11, 11-9, 11-8.
World number two Duncalf will be paired with another English player at the Delhi Games, while Grinham has retired from national duties, so Brown and Urquhart showed they must now be considered one of the favoured combinations at the Commonwealth Games.
Brown was upbeat about the performance, saying she and Urquhart had their chances.
“We came from behind in the first to win and got to 9-9 in the second,” she said.
“Our opponents got a jump on us in the third set due to some amazing winners, but we fought back and just missed out.”
