Three out of four for Aussies in KL
18-Mar-2010 - Squash Australia

Three of the four Australians in action enjoyed first round wins at the CIMB KL Open squash tournament in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday as Kasey Brown, Cameron Pilley (pictured) and Stewart Boswell all progressed to the next stage.
The only casualty was qualifier Donna Urquhart, who lost a tough five game St Patrick’s Day clash with fifth seeded Irishwoman Madeline Perry.
Urquhart led Perry two games to one before the world number six came storming back to edge the 22-year-old Australian 11-7, 6-11, 5-11, 11-6, 11-7.
Brown, originally from Taree in New South Wales but now based in New York, looked in great touch as she demolished English qualifier Sarah Kippax 11-6, 11-4, 11-5.
The 24-year-old now faces the daunting task of taking on world number one and Malaysian superstar Nicol David in the quarter-finals – the second meeting between the two in a week following their semi-final at the Chennai Open in India.
Boswell will also face a Malaysian hero in the final eight after he beat yet another local, Asyraf Azan, 11-4, 11-8, 11-5 to set up a quarter-final against Azlan Iskandar, a surprise 11-4, 11-4, 11-9 winner over third seeded Englishman Adrian Grant.
Pilley beat England’s Jonathan Kemp in straight games 11-7, 11-5, 11-7 to move into a quarter-final showdown against former world number one Karim Darwish of Egypt.
