Pilley safely through first round

Australian number one Cameron Pilley has safely navigated the first round of the Comfort Inn Open in Vancouver after a four game win over English qualifier Joe Lee.
Lee fought hard but couldn’t match the power and consistency of the Australian, Pilley winning 11-6, 5-11, 11-4, 11-6 in a shade over an hour.
He now takes on top seed and recently crowned World Series champion Amr Shabana in the quarter-finals.
Shabana took five games to see off New Zealander Martin Knight 5-11, 12-10, 0-11, 11-5, 11-3.
