Junior women ready for action


Australia’s six representatives at the Women’s World Junior Squash Championships in Boston begin their individual campaigns at Harvard University on Wednesday.
Three of the girls will play in morning qualifying hoping to join their countrywomen in the second round later in the day.
Jennifer Brown plays Wales’s Fiona Murphy, Challen Stowell takes on South African Julie Lee and Jessica Turnbull is up against Mary Fung-a-Fat of Guyana.
If Brown wins, she will then take on Kay-Yi Lee of Hong Kong, Stowell would play Frenchwoman Melissa Alves and Turnbull would play Sue Ann Yong of Malaysia.
Already into the second round thanks to first round byes are Tamika Saxby, Selena Shaikh and Bethany Brazier.
Saxby is up against Englishwoman Sophie Lemon, Shaikh takes on Japan's Risa Sugimoto and Brazier plays New Zealand’s Danielle Fourie.
