Zac Alexander and Amanda Landers-Murphy have continued their winning ways in Queensland after both won their respective finals at the Mackay Open on Sunday.

Zac Alexander has now won an incredible seventh PSA title for 2016 with a win in the men's final over Manuel Wanner from Switzerland. The 27 year old has dominated the Australian Squash Tour in 2016 and has only lost one match all year.

Alexander was the overwhelming favourite going into Sunday's final and he proved it storming over his Swiss opponent in three games 11-6, 11-8, 11-3 in just over half an hour. The win also gives Alexander back-to-back Mackay Open titles.

In the women's draw Amanda Landers-Murphy continued her winning form in Australia with a four-game victory over Queenslander Lisa Camilleri in the women's final. The New Zealander got off to a great start winning the first two games 11-7, 12-10 before Camilleri hit back to win the third 11-6. Landers-Murphy held her composure and her aggression to win the fourth 11-3 to claim her third PSA title in Australia in the past two years.

The win gives Landers-Murphy her second title in as many weeks and she will now aim for a hat-trick of titles next week at the Cairns International where she will be the number three seed for a third successive week.
