Round two came to an exciting conclusion in the Shepparton International on Thursday, August 15.

Top seeds Evan Williams, Sion Wiggin, Darren Chan, Bruyan Lim Tze Kang and Joseph White progressed through to the Quarter Finals while Egypt's Moustafa El Sirty continued his recent run of great form by taking down third seed Syed Azlan Amjad in straight sets. El Sirty finished runner-up in Whyalla at the South Australian Open over the weekend.

The match of the day belonged to the two Australians, Sam Ejtemai and Joseph White. White powered through the first two sets before Ejtemai claimed the third and fourth sets. White used his class and experience to take home the fifth set 11-4.

In another key match, American Atticus Kelly came into the tournament with high hopes and he powered through seeded Australian David Ilich in straight sets.

QUARTER FINALS
Evan Willians (NZL) v Sion Wiggin (NZL) - 7pm
Both players had a bye in the opening round and won their respective second round matches 3-1. Williams is the top seed in this tournament and may be just too good here.

Darren Chan (MAS) v Moustafa El Sirty (Egy) - 7pm
El Sirty has been very impressive in recent weeks and while Chan won with class in the second round, El Sirty's confidence is up and we could see him progress to the next stage. He has finished runner-up in his last two tournaments and has momentum on his side.

Bryan Lim Tze Kang (Mas) v Joseph White (Aust) - 7.45pm
Both players had the bye in the opening round before White won in five testing sets yesterday. This is a battle between fourth and fifth seeds in the tournament and will be the match day of day.

Atticus Kelly (USA) v Angus Gillams (Scot) - 7.45pm
Kelly has played two games for six straight sets wins. Gillams had the bye in round one and his last set against England's Jafari was the best of round two, winning 11-1. While Williams is second seed in the tournament, it might be an extremely tough battle.
