Squash Australia is thrilled to announce the great success of the opening session of its Squash Girls Can pilot program.

The first session was conducted on the 11th of September at the University of Canberra. Registration numbers were solid for the opening session and is expected to increase over the coming 6-weeks.

The program is aimed at introducing women and girls to squash and teaching them the basic skills of the game. Alongside skill development, Squash Girls Can will build camaraderie and engagement on and around the squash court.

The first session was well received with positive feedback to the program. The participants expressed a great interest from friends to join over the coming weeks.

The session focused on the fundamental skills of the game and learning all aspects of the sport.

Coaches expressed a great desire to structure the program to make it more appealing for the participants and received constructive feedback on how to better engage with the target audience.

The participants all received a free racquet and goodie bag for participating and Squash Australia is thrilled to welcome them as new members to the Squash community.
