Tim Cowell U13 Coach

Born and based in Perth, Tim has been playing squash since the age of 4. He decided to pursue a career in squash after high school, mixing coaching commitments and touring on the PSA tour. Recently he has been involved as a coach with the WA State Junior team and accompanied the national talent squads and Trans Tasman teams to Asia, New Zealand and the Gold Coast.

Nathan Turnbull U13 Coach

Nathan has been playing squash since he was 10 and has been coaching since he was 15. He has a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sports Studies and Psychology from the University of Queensland. He has been the Head Coach of Sandgate Squash Club since 2007. Nathan is the owner of Sandgate Squash Centre, a WSF Referee, President of Brisbane City Squash and QSquash Director.

Vicki Cardwell U15 Coach

Vicki Cardwell is a former world No. 1. She was one of the leading players on the international squash circuit from the late 1970s through to the mid 1990s. During her career, she won the World Open in 1983, and captured the British Open title four consecutive times in 1980-83. Vicki has enjoyed continued success in senior events, winning four World Masters Championships titles between 1987 and 1995.

Zac Alexander U17 Coach

Zac was born in Brisbane and started playing squash from an early age. He competed around the country and overseas as a junior, reaching No. 1 in Australia U19’s before graduating to train full time with the AIS in 2006. He later moved to America for 7 years based with Aussie World Champion Rodney Martin reaching No. 36 in the world. Now after coaching stints in Connecticut and Melbourne over the past 2 years he is back in Brisbane as part of the Squash Australia team.

Rex is 27 years old, from Melbourne. He has a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, majoring in Sports Coaching and Exercise Physiology. Rex played on the pro tour close to 7 years. His highest ranking is 52 in the world and he is currently No. 3 in Australia. Rex is coaching out of Melbourne.

Kay Kendall U19 Coach

Whilst Kay was born in the United Kingdom, she played the majority of her represented squash for New Zealand from the age of ten to twenty-one.  She continued playing and coaching squash in New Zealand and England, only leaving the sport to pursue a successful corporate career.   

On residing in Australia in 2000, Kay returned to playing and coaching and has been extensively involved at Regional, State and National levels, including Tournament Director duties on the Australian Squash Tour, and Championship Director at the World Doubles in 2016.
