Christine Nunn has won her opening round match in Canada at the 10K Nash Cup.

Nunn is the first seed for this event. She has already won her opening match against Reyna Pacheco of the USA with relative ease 11-4, 11-2, 11-3.

Nunn will now meet world number 56 and 5th seed Nikki Todd from Canada in her quarter-final clash. Should Nunn win her quarter-final she will come up against Misaki Kobayashi of Japan in the semis.

I'm enjoying my time in sunny Ontario and I expect to have very tough matches. I'm feeling good and looking forward to getting on court tomorrow against Nikki" said Nunn
